FAQ
You will find here answers for frequently asked questions.
1. What is the difference between classic cotton and premium cotton fabric?
Classic Cotton is made of a bit of heavier cotton (Gildan® 64000), which is soft but slightly thicker than premium.
Premium cotton is made of a lighter cotton (Bella + Canvas 3001), very soft and light. Perfect for summery weather or anyone who loves light clothing.
2. How does fabric blend affect print quality?
Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing works best on 100% cotton garments. The natural fibers absorb water-based inks better, leading to more opaque and vibrant prints. While most of our t-shirts are 100% cotton, heather, and tri-blend colors contain varying amounts of polyester and rayon, which can affect print quality.
It's important to note that achieving absolute color precision can be challenging due to variations in printers, color profiles, and processes. While we strive for accuracy, we want to be transparent and cannot guarantee 100% color matching.
Heather colors get their unique textured look from a blend of cotton and polyester. Typically, the polyester content ranges from 10% to almost 50%. Colors with "heather" in their name, along with sports grey, usually fall into this category.
Since polyester is designed to repel water, it doesn't absorb DTG inks as effectively as cotton. Consequently, prints on heather colors may appear less opaque compared to solid colors.
Despite the difference in opacity, many customers love the aesthetic of heather colors and prefer them for their unique texture.
Tri-blend fabrics consist of cotton, polyester, and rayon. Rayon, a synthetic fiber derived from cellulose, doesn't absorb water-based inks as well as cotton. However, it contributes to a lightweight feel and enhances the garment's fit. Tri-blends often result in a faded or vintage look when used with DTG printing.
It's crucial to remember that not all blends are created equal. We only source garments from brands known for their high-quality blended cotton. By using appropriate pre-treatment techniques and equipment settings, we can achieve excellent results even with cotton/polyester and rayon blends.
Summary
For optimal print opacity, we recommend opting for 100% cotton garments, particularly solid-color t-shirts. However, if you prioritize the unique look of heather colors or the fit of tri-blends, these options can be great additions to your collection.
3. The colors on my printed garment don’t match the colours on the preview.
The images below provide an example of how an RGB file with very bright RGB colors looks on screen (color wheels on the left-hand side), compared with printed results (color wheels on the right-hand side). Ink on white fabric tends to look brighter and more vibrant than images printed on colored garments.
4. Common Concerns about Vinegar Smell, Marks, or Stains
If you notice a vinegar-like smell, or off-white, or brownish residue on your new shirt, it's likely due to a fixation agent used in the direct-to-garment (DTG) printing process. This agent is harmless and helps the ink bond with the fabric.
To remove the smell (you can just hang it in a wentilated room and after couple of hours the smell will go away) and residue, simply wash the garment. Both should disappear after one wash. Turn your DTG-printed garments inside out and wash them in cold water (30ºC or cooler).
5. Why Do Colors Sometimes Differ?
Color variations in shirts can occur due to factors such as different printers, color profiles, settings, and processes. While we strive for color accuracy, achieving 100% precision can be challenging.
6. What is the difference between thick and slim canvas?
Slim canvas has a wooden frame that can be either 2 cm or 3 cm thick, depending on the availability in different locations.
Thick canvas consistently features a 4 cm-thick frame, providing a more substantial presence.

8. Aluminium Prints - Wall Art
Aluminum prints offer a stunning finish that adds depth and texture to photos. The vibrant colors and sharp details are sure to make images pop on any wall. Crafted with care using high-quality materials, these prints are built to last.
The printing process involves using premium 3mm aluminum dibond material, ensuring exceptional durability and scratch resistance for years to come. For Standard Aluminum prints, we use aluminum dibond 3mm with a white coating base. For Brushed Aluminum prints, the base is a unique metallic silver.
Please note: white ink isn’t used in the printing process, so areas of your design that are white or transparent will show the base material.
a) Wall Mounting
Each aluminum print purchase includes a complimentary hanging kit. Please be aware that the specific hanging kit provided may vary slightly depending on the supplier. Choosing a specific hanging kit is not currently possible.
Here are the three hanging kit options:
- Option 1: Magnet (Preferred) This option uses magnets attached to the back of the print. The number of magnets varies based on the print size: two for smaller prints, three for medium sizes, and four for larger ones. The magnets do not affect the image in any way.
- Option 2: Hanger This option involves attaching a hanger to the backside of the print using double-sided tape. A foam block attached to the bottom of the print ensures it hangs straight on the wall.
- Option 3: French Cleat This option features a "rail" glued to the back of the print, with a corresponding rail attached to the wall. The two rails interlock, providing a secure hanging solution. Similar to the hanger option, a foam block is attached to the bottom to ensure the print hangs straight.
b) Packaging and Protection
To protect your aluminum print during shipping and ensure it arrives in pristine condition, we apply a layer of protective film over the print. Once the print is mounted on the wall, remove the protective film to reveal the stunning, high-quality finish.
9. What is the difference between standard and brushed aluminum prints?
Standard aluminum prints feature a smooth, white base, while brushed aluminum prints have a textured, metallic silver base. This difference in base material creates distinct visual effects.
